The Earth as seen from the inside of Mercury’s orbit.
Thanks to the Parker Solar Probe, we get an understanding of just how small we are in the universe.
The Parker Solar Probe was launched on August 12, 2018 (Sunday) aboard a ULA (United Launch Alliance) Delta lV Heavy rocket.
The probe costs an estimated 1.5 Billion dollars and is the fastest traveling man made object reaching speeds of 430,000 mph.
Parker Solar Probe was launched to help scientists collect data from the Sun’s corona, to understand the structure and dynamics of the Sun’s coronal plasma and magnetic field, the energy flow that heats the solar corona and impels the solar wind, and the mechanisms that accelerate energetic particles.
The imagine was captured using the WISPR outer camera and a L2-L3 color composite.
