NASA moved the time line for the SLS’s third roll out up by over a day. After a slight delay due to lightning in the area SLS began to roll from the VAB at 10:00 pm E.T. on August 16th. Now it will reside on Launch Complex 39B until it lifts off for the first time on a journey around the moon, going further and longer than any human rated spacecraft has gone before.

7:08 pm E.T. from SLC-40 the second of two launches from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station lifted off with the South Korean built lunar orbiting spacecraft. SpaceX has now launched their 34th mission of the year and 168th Falcon 9 total.
April 27th, 2021 the first core stage of the Artemis program has arrived at the Kennedy Space Center to start stacking the rocket fully together in preparations of launching around the Moon.
